There’s just three weeks to go to The Mix London, a thought leadership forum PortfolioMetrix is hosting along with Praemium for advisers (https://www.portfoliometrix.com/events/mix-forum-evolution-financial-advice).
The event is designed to inform and challenge advisers, with three guest speakers bringing a unique mix of knowledge, experience and insights to the morning:
- Rory Percival, until recently a technical specialist at the FCA and now a Financial Advice Consultant. Rory will be exploring the issues that advisers may be unaware of when using tools to assist with assessing clients’ willingness to take risk and their capacity for loss and looking at the real issues around ‘shoehorning’ clients into unsuitable investment solutions.
- David Gurr from Diminimis, who will highlight best practice and governance issues when choosing a discretionary investment manager.
- Clive Waller, Managing Director of CWC Research, who will focus on the cost/time savings of the right IT.
In addition to these three, Mike Roberts, PortfolioMetrix UK’s Managing Director and Rebecca Murphy, Director of Sales and Marketing at Praemium will be avoiding any sales pitches to focus on the broader industry issues and opportunities offered by technology.
