Five in a row for Regional Star Award shortlist

For the fifth year running PortfolioMetrix has been shortlisted for the Citywire Wealth Manager Regional Stars Greater London award and we’ll soon find out if we’ve won. If we do, it will be the fourth consecutive win, which would be an amazing achievement.

While all the regions are important – and it’s good to see that these awards recognise and reward talent from all over the UK – we are particularly proud to be in the running for the London one, where competition is arguably the toughest due to the sheer number of firms operating in this region.

Change of methodology

In previous years, the awards have judged individual wealth management offices on four criteria: investment outcomes, client reporting, relationship management and efficiency of service.

This year the team at Citywire Wealth Manager has changed the methodology and it now looks at nine factors which they have identified as being important to financial advisers that work with discretionary investment managers.

The nine factors are:

  • Value for money
  • Satisfaction with investment outcome
  • Accessibility of key contact(s)
  • Quality of reporting
  • Quality of additional research and data
  • Crisis communication
  • Promptness of information
  • Usefulness of digital interface
  • Call to action/turnaround times

We’re confident we score well on these criteria but only time will tell if we’ve done enough to pick up the award. At least we won’t have long to wait to find out…the awards will be presented at a ceremony in London on Thursday 5 March.

Last year around 1,000 advisers across eight major regions of the UK voted for their favourite wealth managers, so being singled out as one of the best is especially rewarding for all of us at PortfolioMetrix.

We’ve got everything crossed for Thursday but being shortlisted is already something we are extremely proud to have achieved.
